Just for Kix program fares well at Together We Dance in Brainerd

0The Just For Kix – Parkers Prairie Area program made its way to Brainerd on Sunday, March 17 with six teams to compete at the Together We Dance (TWD) competition. The teams performed well in their heats, so much improvement on their second competition of the season.
• Mini Kix received Gold score and placed third. This team continues to improve each week. This team consists of dancers from Zion Lutheran and Parkers Prairie schools.
• Mini Jazz / Lyrical received High Gold score was within a few points of placing. This team consists of dancers from Henning, Hillcrest and Zion Lutheran schools.
• Mini Hip Hop received High Gold score was within a few points of placing. This team consists of dancers from Bertha-Hewitt, Parkers Prairie and Zion Lutheran schools.
• Jr Hip Hop received High Gold score and placed 1st place again. This team consists of dancers from Parkers Prairie and Battle Lake schools. The judges loved their energy again and our undefeated so far this season.
• Jr Kix received High Gold score and placed third. This team consists of dancers from Battle Lake, Henning and Parkers Prairie schools. The judges loved their energy again and facials.
• Jr Jazz / Lyrical received High Gold score and placed third place. This team consists of dancers from Henning and Parkers Prairie schools.
The program also had four dancers compete on Friday, March 22 at the solo, duet and small group (SDS) dance competition at NDSCS in Wahpeton.
• Taya Arvidson competed in the Jr Select Solo division and received a High Gold score. She danced beautifully on the floor and brought tears to the crowd. She is looking forward to continue to improve her routine and compete it at Nationals in Rochester.
• Katie Pexsa competed in the Middle Select Solo division and received a High Gold score. She dance so elegantly, she amazed the crowd on how many consistent turns she did in a row it was so stunning.
• The Pexsa Trio (Breanna, Katie and Reagan) competed in the Middle Select Small Group division and received a Platinum score and within points of placing. They amazed the crowd with flexibility and skills.
