Charlene Witt is accepting orders for the latest design for the World Down Syndrome Day t-shirts for Henning area residents. World Down Syndrome Day is set for March 21.

The Henning community will be celebrating World Down Syndrome Day for the seventh straight year, which occurs every March 21. The date 3-21 represents a third copy of the 21st chromosome resulting in Down Syndrome.

Organizers are thankful to be able to celebrate within the school and community. The goal is to raise awareness to those around the community for inclusion and acceptance. Charlene Witt, who has helped to organize the event in the past said she feels very blessed as Hendrick Witt is definitely loved and supported at school and in the Henning community.

Organizers of World Down Syndrome Day in Henning are selling shirts to raise funds to provide shirts for the two classes at the school who have a kid with Down Syndrome.

A purchase of a shirt helps lower the cost of the 70 plus shirts the Witt family provides for those two classes. The Witts also have some neat items that the kids will receive along with (hopefully) cupcakes. If you are interested in a shirt they are $20. Sizes youth S-XL and adult S-4XL.

Contact Charlene Witt at (320) 760-2186 with questions or to order.
