The driver complained of being unable to move her lower extremities and experienced back pain. The individual was taken to the Perham hospital and later was airlifted to a Fargo hospital.

The driver was in a Ford Expedition and was traveling northbound on highway 78. She veered off the road in the curve just south of Ottertail. The vehicle then crashed into a driveway approach and came to a stop in the eastbound ditch.

The victim was identified as Tonya Marie Willprecht, 48, of Evansville.

Warning given for stop arm violation

A driver received a stern warning from county deputies on Feb. 15 after driving around a school bus, north of Fergus Falls, while the bus stop arm was still extended. The driver had just dropped off his child.

The driver was informed about the severity of the stop sign violations and the ramifications for the driver, if charged.
