Three Henning students competed at the Minnesota Elks State Hoop Shoot in Hutchinson on Saturday, Feb. 17. Reegan Hoelscher made 15 of 25 free throws and placed third in the 8-9 year old boys division, Reggie Emter made 18 out of 25 and placed second in the boys 10-11 division. Emter won a tie break shootout to place second.  Easton Misegades made 23 of 25 free throws and placed first in the 12-13-year-old boys division. Misegades will now represent Minnesota at the Elks Regional Hoop Shoot March 15-17 in Iowa City, Iowa. Misegades also won the Roger Klinghagen award as the top boys shooter at the state competition. He is the son of Randy and Becky Misegades of rural Henning.
