Henning scored early and often as it made quick work of Bertha-Hewitt on Thursday night by a score of 74-38. The Hornets, who shot 47 percent from the field and 10-24 from behind the 3-point line, led by a score of 43-18 at halftime.

“We did a nice job coming ready to play and taking control immediately. We set the tone defensively and jumped out 27-1 to start the game,” said head coach Randy Misegades. 

Henning was led offensively by Kale Misegades with 24 points, on just 9-15 shooting and 4-5 from behind the 3-point line, while Teigan Bjerke scored 15 points to go along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Noah Umland scored 11 points and Lane Dilly finished with a double-double with 10 points on just 5-6 shooting and a team-high 12 rebounds. 

Logan Kostelecky scored 8 points and pulled down 6 rebounds, while Dawson Misegades and Parker Samuelson rounded out the scoring with 2 points. 

The win improves the Hornets to 13-2 on the season and 7-0 in the Park Region Conference. This week the Hornets traveled to Browerville on Monday, host Menahga on Tuesday and travel to Pillager on Thursday.
