Snow Week may have a bit of an ironic twist at Henning School this year, due to an unseasonably warm start to the winter across central Minnesota. While there may not be a lot of snow outside, students at Henning School will celebrate all things winter and cold as part of the annual Snow Week celebration next week.

Snow Week will kick off on Monday with the annual Snow Week coronation at 1:40 p.m. King candidates include: Lane Dilly, Carter Kenyon and Chase Powers, while the queen candidates include: Lilly Conner, Dealia Grabe and Emily Kohl.

The dress up theme for Monday is teacher/student swap.

On Tuesday the students and staff will participate in Hick Day as a dress up theme.

The dress up theme on Wednesday is class color day. Wednesday will feature student activity day for students in grades 6-12 who will be able to choose what group activity they would like to do throughout the afternoon.

Thursday’s dress up theme will be career day and Friday’s dress up day will be school spirit day.

One of the new events happening during Snow Week will be a high school basketball game taking place during the school day. On Friday the annual school pepfest will be replaced by a girls basketball game between Henning and Frazee in front of the student body. The varsity game will tip off at 1 p.m. in the high school gym.
