Jordan Sleen from Billy’s Bar & Grill in Vergas was the big winner at the Free Poker Network Vegas $100k World Championship Main Event, winning $25,000 for first place Sunday, Jan. 7 in Las Vegas.

Sleen defeated Joseph Fisher, of Illinois, in the final hand holding King/Jack off-suit and getting a Jack on the flop and a King on the river with Fisher receiving no help for his pair of 7’s.

Jordan qualified for the event by winning the Tournament Of Champions at Billy’s Bar & Grill, a league that averages about 40 players on Monday nights and features some great players such as reigning 2-time national champ Joel Smith, who once again made an incredibly deep run in this event, finishing 11th place.

Sleen thanked all the players at Billy’s, including the group that played alongside him in Vegas during the week.

“They all performed greatly,” said Sleen.

Smith, of Henning, won his second national championship a year ago.

Runner-up Fisher earned $15,000 and Dale Hjelmgren from Wisconsin took third place and $8,100.

Sleen defeated the largest field in FPN history, 388 players.

“I only had to do it eight at a time,” said Sleen.

Jordan’s TOC win at Billy’s earned him a seat in Vegas and 10k in chips, but he was able to start the tournament with 50k due to qualifying in both the Bar Championship qualifier No. 3 and the Mega qualifier No. 4. Each qualifier rewards players an extra 20k in chips.

The top 36 players cashed between $720 – $1,000 and there were $10,000 in Mystery Bounties awarded. Additional details and complete list of winners will be released later at https://freepokernetwork.com/news
