With a palette of paint in tow, a group of Henning art students have been taking to the hallways each morning.  The students are part of Melissa Babolian’s creative concepts class that have been put in charge with bringing a certain sense of flare to the hallways of Henning School. As they work on one of four different murals throughout the building, the students seem at ease as they carefully draw out their creation on the large and otherwise mundane wall. That’s when they splash the wall with a dash of bright orange or black paint.

Warm weather couldn’t last and last weekend broke loose with plenty of wind-driven rain and snow. That mixture of course made for lots of miserable driving, which manifest itself in such road-side shows such as a van beached in a snow bank just across from the Henning Festival Grounds.

A woman void of curiosity must find life as tedious as a historical novel.

You can’t judge a wife’s love by the kisses she gives her husband when he comes home; she may only be suspicious.

The poor man must go out and water the storm, while the rich man can stay at home and storm at the weather.

How quickly our soldiers and sailors resume the employments of peace! Forty men recently discharged from the United States service, each with a shovel over his shoulder, marched in New York City against the works the snow storm had built. The soiled uniforms told the campaigning elsewhere, and of duty about which there is to some minds a suggestion of romance. The unromantic shovel was handled with a vigor which promised well for the victories of peace.

A writer says sleep is conducive to beauty. Perhaps it is, but we have seen some rather homely policemen, nevertheless.
