County board makes visit to Scott County

County commissioners, administration, the health and wellness team and various community members participated in a tour of the Scott County Family Resource Center in Shakopee, Minnesota.
Commissioners discussed the benefits of a similar center for Otter Tail County and how a model could be developed to ensure availability and accessibility of services offered. They also discussed ways to bring resources assistance and services directly to families throughout Otter Tail County.

Otter Tail County recognizes the importance of eliminating the potential for catastrophic losses and impacts to life and property. The 2023 Otter Tail County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan includes a risk assessment and vulnerability analysis of communities throughout Otter tail County.
To that end, the Otter Tail County Board of Commissioners support the allocation of funding for public safety and hazard mitigation. This will align with the Navigating the Road Ahead program.
