Section meet to be held next week

Several hundred competitors from across the state converged on Arvig Park in Perham on Thursday for the annual Perham Yellowjacket Harrier Classic. The event featured 144 people in the varsity boys race and 128 people in the varsity girls race. 

The boys team was led by Peter Newark who finished in 21st place with a time of 17:01.1. 

Talyn Setterholm finished in 79th place with a time of 18:29.4, Jonas Hagemeister finished in 80th place with a time of 18:30.4, Aidan Heggem finished in 84th place with a time of 18:32.7, Nathan Russ finished in 114th place with a time of 19:53.30, Phoenix Allison finished in 115th place with a time of 19:56.9 and Jack Jossart finished in 121st place with a time of 20:24.1. 

The team finished in 13th place overall with a score of 374. Perham won the meet with a score of 49, while Fergus Falls was in second place with a score of 97. There were a total of 19 complete teams in the race. 

On the girls side, the Bulldogs finished in 14th place as a team with 406 points. There were a total of 17 teams in the meet with Perham tying Brainerd for the top spot with 61 team points. 

The Bulldogs were led by Norah Froslee who finished in 33rd place with a time of 20:19.8. 

Delia Tebrugge finished with a season best time of 23:41.3 to take 94th place, while Laney Frost finished in 104th place with a time of 24:23.4, Mae Hegemeister finished with 110th place with a time of 25:09.2 and Emily Christensen finished with a season best time of 25:21.8 to finish in 113th place.
