Boys team takes fifth place at meet in Ada

Sophomore Nora Froslee captured first place individually, and the boys team took fourth place as a team at the Heart of the Valley Golf Club in Ada on Thursday night. 

Froslee finished with a time of 19:56.6 to edge Ella Arntson of Riverside Christian School who finished with a time of 19:58.9. The pair finished a full 10 seconds ahead of the third place finisher from Hawley. 

In addition to Froslee, Laney Frost took 30th place with a time of 23:17, Delia Tebrugge took 45th place with a time of 24:17, Emily Christensen took 52nd place with a time of 25:35 and Mae Hegemeister took 54th place with a time of 25:57. 

As a team the Bulldogs girls took sixth place overall with 149 points. They were just 4 points shy of tying Stephen-Argyle Central with a score of 145 for fifth place. 

On the boys side the Bulldogs finished in fourth place as a team on Thursday night. OTC finished with a team score of 134 points overall and trailed just Hawley with 63 points, Park Rapids with 98 points and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton with 114 points in the standings. 

Peter Newark led the boys team with a fifth place finish with a time of 17:06. Talyn Setterholm finished in 17th place with a time of 17:48, Jonas Hagemeister finished in 29th place with a time of 18:23, Aidan Heggem finished in 30th place with a time of 18:25, Nathan Russ finished in 55th place with a time of 20:19 and Jack Jossart finished in 63rd place with a time of 20:51. 

This week the Bulldogs will travel to Madden’s Pine Beach West Golf Course near Pillager in their lone action of the week.
