The 14th annual Ole’e Ride will take place on Saturday, Aug. 26. The ride raises money for the Hospice of the Red River.

The 14th Annual Ole’s Ride will take place on Saturday, Aug. 26, dedicated to honoring the memory of Richard “Ole” Barten, who fought cancer until his passing in February 2011. During his final months, Ole received compassionate care from Hospice of the Red River Valley, leaving an impact on his loved ones. Ole’s family initiated this event as a way to support and express their heartfelt appreciation for Hospice of the Red River Valley. Over the years, Ole’s Ride has raised over $208,000 for Hospice of the Red River Valley.

To kick off the event, pre-registration and a bike show will be held on Friday, August 25th from 6:30-8 p.m. at Billy’s Corner Bar in Vergas, Minn. Participants can also register for the ride on Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m. The bike ride will start at 12 p.m., guiding riders through the scenic lakes country of Minnesota.

To participate in the ride, there is a registration fee of $25 per bike, with the option for an additional rider to join for $15. Registration includes a t-shirt, meal and opportunities to win door prizes at each stop along the route. Following the route, participants can look forward to a silent auction and a live music performance by the FM All-Stars.

To register for the ride, please contact Jessica Sonnenberg at (218) 849-8995 or jessicasonnenberg@team-ind.com.
