Lake Region Healthcare is pleased to announce that Kate Bjorge has been hired as the Development Director for their Foundations and philanthropy programs. Bjorge and her family will be relocating from Little Falls, Minn., where she had served as the Community Philanthropy Manager for the Initiative Foundation since 2018. Prior to that role, she served 10 years as the Director of Outreach for Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) St. Gabriel’s Health, also in Little Falls.
As Development Director, Bjorge will collaborate with LRH leaders, Board members, and various other stakeholders to ensure the continued growth and diversification of philanthropic support to help improve the health of people in the communities and regions across all of the nine communities where LRH serves.
“Kate brings tremendous knowledge and energy to this critical position for our enterprise,” said Kent Mattson, CEO. “We know that philanthropy will play an important role in meeting the operating and capital needs and furthering the strategic initiatives to position LRH for success amidst the challenges of the healthcare industry today and in the future. Kate is already off to a strong start leading our efforts to build a culture of philanthropy to support excellent, high-quality healthcare close to home for generations to come.”
“I am excited to be part of the amazing team at Lake Region Healthcare and to be joining this community. Laura Gervais, Foundation Coordinator, and I are already working together on continuing the strong tradition of support that really blossomed in 2008 when fundraising for the Cancer Center began,” said Bjorge. “I’m looking forward to bringing people and resources together to help LRH achieve its mission and vision.”
