OTC scores late to tie Alexandria 7-7

0Alexandria edges OTC Black 15u 14-11 in opener
Otter Tail Central 15u Black stayed in it until the end, but Alexandria Red pulled away late in a 14-11 victory on Thursday. The game was tied at 11-11 with Alexandria Red batting in the top of the 10th inning when Peterson singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Kale Misegades collected 4 hits in defeat. Misegades tripled in the first, singled in the fifth, doubled in the sixth, and singled in the ninth.
OTC 15u Black fired up the offense in the first inning. Kaleb Hammes grounded out, scoring one run.
In the top of the seventh inning, Alexandria Red tied things up at 11-11, before Anderson singled on a 2-1 count, scoring 3 runs.
OTC 15u Black tallied 7 runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught by OTC 15u Black was led by Ryan Despard, Hammes, Misegades, and Olin Link, who all drove in runs.
Alexandria Red scored 5 runs in the sixth inning. Alexandria Red offense in the inning was led by Moscha, Scholl, and Anderson, all driving in runs in the inning.
Ayden Olson took the loss for OTC 15u Black as he allowed 9 hits and 8 runs over 5 innings, striking out 3.
Misegades started the game for OTC 15u Black and pitched 5 innings, allowing 5 hits and 3 runs while striking out 4.

In the second game of the night, a single in the fifth inning helped OTC 15u Black battle to a 7-7 tie with Alexandria Red on Thursday.
OTC 15u Black scored 5 runs in the fourth inning. OTC 15u Black batters contributing to the big inning included Ryan Despard, Olin Link, and JR Faaaliga, all knocking in runs in the inning.
OTC 15u Black tallied 7 hits in the game. Kale Misegades and Despard each managed multiple hits for OTC 15u Black. Despard and Misegades each collected 2 hits to lead OTC 15u Black. Misegades led OTC 15u Black with 2 stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 7 stolen bases.
“Our bats were looking really good tonight, but we gave up far too many extra bases on walks and errors in both games. We’ll need to cleanup those aspects of the game moving forward and we’ll continue to be competitive,” said coach Evan Meece.
