0Perham defeats Otter Tail Central 20-4 on Saturday
Both Alexandria Black and Otter Tail Central Red 15u had their offenses going on Thursday, but OTC eventually succumbed 9-6 in the high-scoring affair.
Alexandria Black opened up scoring in the first inning, when Chandler singled on a 0-2 count, scoring 1 run.
In the top of the third inning, OTC tied things up at 2-2. An error scored one run for OTC.
Alexandria Black pulled away for good with 2 runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Chandler tripled on a 1-0 count, scoring 1 run.
OTC tallied 4 runs in the seventh inning. OTC’s big inning was driven by walks by Grady Shebeck, Sam Ravenscraft and Brady Saurer and a single by Austin Sem.
Alexandria Black scored 4 runs in the fifth inning. Lennon, Charlie, and Owen each had RBIs in the big inning.
Ravenscraft took the loss for OTC as he surrendered 4 runs on 5 hits over 4 innings, striking out 2.
OTC totaled 6 hits in the game. Trinity Baker and Shebeck each managed multiple hits for OTC. Shebeck and Baker all had 2 hits to lead OTC.
Saturday
OTC fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 20-4 loss to Perham on Saturday.
Perham scored on a walk by Guck in the first inning, a fielder’s choice by Detloff in the first inning, a fielder’s choice by Amos in the first inning, a single by Adamczky in the first inning, a passed ball during Schmelz’s at bat in the second inning, and a single by Schrapp in the second inning.
Perham scored 7 runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by Perham was led by Schumacher, Schmelz, Detloff, Amos, and Adamczky, all driving in runs in the inning.
Kaden Schmieg took the loss for OTC as he allowed 3 hits and 7 runs over 2 innings, striking out 2.
Trinity Baker, Grady Shebeck, Evan Bond and Graham Huschka all had one hit to lead OTC.
Perham racked up 11 hits in the game. Schumacher, Schmelz, Cissell, and Adamczky all had multiple hits for Perham.
