The Otter Tail Central track teams competed in a pair of meets last week as they gear up for the Section 6A True Team meet in Pelican Rapids on Tuesday.

Last Tuesday the Bulldogs traveled to United North Central, before heading to Pelican Rapids on Thursday.

This week the Bulldogs will be making a return to Pelican Rapids for the section true team meet, before taking the rest of the week off from competition. 

Tuesday

Nora Froslee and Kallyn Grove took the top two spots in the 800-meter run and Becca Frederick captured the top spot in the long jump t the United North Central Warrior Invitational on Tuesday night. 

Froslee finished the 800-meter run with a time of 2:33.78, while Grove finished with a time of 2:35.19. Froslee also took second place in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:35.98. 

Meanwhile, Frederick took the top spot in the long jump with a jump of 14’10”. Also in the field events, Kinley Bormann took the top spot in the triple jump with a jump of 33’9 1/2”.

Ally Hart took second place in the high jump with a jump of 4’10”.

On the boys side, Mason Dallgue took the top spot in the long jump with a jump of 19’9 1/2” and Jonas Hagemeister took the top spot in the pole vault with a jump of 10’. Cayden Dittberner took second place in the pole vault with a vault of 9’

In the 1600-meter run, Peter Newark took second place with a time of 4:56.33, Aidan Heggem took second place in the triple jump with a jump of 39’8 1/2”, while Caden Meek and Kale Rich took third and fourth place in the discus with throws of 105’11 1/2” and 105’6 1/2” respectively.

Thursday

Nora Froslee swept the distance races as the Henning High School student took first place in both the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs at the Pelican Rapids Invite on Thursday. Froslee finished the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:32.22 and the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:59.13 to take the top spot in both events. 

Kinley Bormann took second place in the triple jump with a jump of 34’2 1/2”, while Ally Hart secured a pair of third place finishes in both the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.93 and the high jump with a jump of 4’10”. 

On the boys side, Aidan Heggem was the top finisher for the Bulldogs as he took second place in the triple jump with a jump of 39’6”.
