Karissa Graham-Blackman, Henning, has received the Marcil Center for Journalism Scholarship for $1,500 from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Karissa is a graduate of Central Islip Senior High School. Karissa’s major is digital media management.

The Marcil Center for Journalism Scholarship is awarded to students who are interested in a career in the journalism/media industry. Students must major in the School of Communication and Journalism, Paseka School of Business, or Department of Computer Science and Information Systems. Students must also maintain a 3.0 GPA minimum.
