Otter Tail Central gave up 4 costly errors and 11 hits as they were unable to get by the Sebeka Trojans in the Bulldogs’ home opener on Tuesday night.

Sebeka was able to pump out 11 hits and 17 runs to hand the Bulldogs their second loss of the season. The Trojans scored 4 runs in the first inning, 1 in the second and 6 runs in both of the third and fourth innings. OTC was unable to get a hit in the game, but Liz Lukken did reach base two times on a pair of walks.

“The outcome wasn’t what we were hoping for, but the young Bulldog team is taking each game as a learning experience.  Overall tonight we lacked mental toughness and gave Sebeka too many opportunities.  We will need to continue working hard in practice to prepare for our busy weeks to come,” said head coach Heather Akerman. “We did have four costly errors which produced runs for the Trojans.”

Cameron took the loss on the mound for OTC as she gave up 11 hits and 17 runs over 3 2/3 innings. Akerman pitched the final 1/3 innings of the game and didn’t give up a hit or run.

This week the Bulldogs are scheduled to take on Menahga in a doubleheader on Tuesday night, before traveling to Pelican Rapids on Friday.
