Voters from across the region went to the polls on Tuesday, March 14 for the annual township elections. 

Local Otter Tail County results from the township elections are as follows:

Deer Creek Township

A total of voters turned out to reelect Cheri Kopveiler (11 votes) as treasurer and Mike Harder (11 votes) as supervisor.

Leaf Lake Township

A total of 16 voters turned out to reelect Peter Bakka (16 votes) as supervisor and Matt Thorson (15 votes) as treasurer.

Otter Tail Township

Eight voters turned out to reelect Mark Cordes (8 votes) as supervisor (3 year term) and Tim Lueders (8 votes) as treasurer (2 year term).

“That’s typical for Otter Tail Township,” said Greg Swanberg, township clerk. 

Henning Township

A total 10 voters turned out to reelect Robert Trosdahl (10 votes) as supervisor and Lois Buermann (10 votes) as treasurer.

Inman Township

A total of 13 votes were cast in Inman Township as Tim Klemek was re-elected as treasurer with all 13 votes. 

For the position of supervisor, Michael Greenwood received 12 votes and Ken Doll received 1 vote. 

Elmo Township

A total of 12 people turned out to vote in Elmo Township. Gale Iverson was elected as a supervisor and Richard Brenner was elected as treasurer after both people received all 12 votes.
