Alivia Emter took third place at the Elks State Hoop Shoot contest in Hutchinson, Minn. She made a personal best 20-25 free throws. She went last and made 6-10 free throws in her first set, before missing her first shot in her second set. She then went 14-14 to complete her round of 25 shots. The first place finisher went 23-25, while the state runner up, who was the national runner up last year, went 21-25. Fourth place made 18-25 free throws. Emter is the seventh grade daughter of Ryan and Abby Emter.
