With the temperatures dipping below zero it almost seems fitting that Henning School is getting ready to celebrate winter.

The annual Snow Week celebration will get underway next week and feature a variety of dress up days and activities at the school.

The week will kick off on Monday with coronation in the afternoon. King candidates include: Mitchell Cichy, Tyson Misegades, Ben Oseien and Colton Reinbold. Queen candidates include: Ally Hart, Becca Frederick, Faith Fisher and Ava Eckhoff.

As part of the festivities on Monday, Snow Week candidates will visit the classrooms at the school and the elementary cheerleaders will perform before coronation.

Students will simply need to roll out of bed on their way to school on Monday as the dress up theme is pajama day.

On Tuesday the dress up theme is construction day and the students will have the opportunity to participate in a dodge ball tournament.

Wednesday is color day and snow week activity day with the junior and senior high students having the option of a number of activities they can do outside of the school walls. Activities include potentially going swimming, bowling, ice fishing, skiing and more.

Students are asked to wear the following colors to coincide with their class on Wednesday: 12th-White, 11th-Blue, 10th-Black, 9th-Gray, 8th-Green, 7th-Orange and 6th-Red.

The dodge ball tournament will continue on Thursday and the dress up theme day will be retro day.

Snow Week will come to a conclusion on Friday with spirit day and the annual pep fest in the afternoon.
