Ottertail man dies after falling in Otter Tail Lake

A 64-year-old Ottertail man died after he was rescued from the water on Saturday on Otter Tail Lake.
At 7:26 p.m. the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office received a report of two snowmobiles and one ATV in the water on the northeast side of Otter Tail Lake in Otter Tail Township. All parties except for one were initially accounted for.
One victim was rescued from the water and was transported by Perham Ambulance.
The 64-year-old victim, who was later identified as Scott Alan Simdorn of Ottertail, was later pronounced as deceased.
Assisting the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office with the call was the Minnesota State Patrol, Ottertail Fire and Rescue, the Perham Fire Department and the Perham EMS.
