SWAT, HPD, HFD to host training at Denny’s

Local law enforcement and emergency personnel will be conducting specialized training in the former Denny’s Food N Sport building in downtown Henning.
According to Henning Fire and Police Chief Mike Helle, the local SWAT, Henning Police Department, Henning Fire Department and other emergency personnel will be conducting a training session on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at Denny’s. Helle said the training will give emergency personnel a unique opportunity to conduct live training in a convenience store. As part of the training there will be an increase in police officers and SWAT members in the area on Wednesday.
Denny’s Food N Sport was recently sold and will be torn down in the near future. The convenience store has been closed for much of the year.
