The skies above Ottertail will come to life as part of the annual OtterDazzle celebration on Saturday night. A large fireworks display will bring to a close a busy day in Ottertail that will feature a visit from Santa Claus, as well as everything from a craft fair, hay rides and lighting of the community Christmas tree.

The day will get underway at 8 a.m. with the Ottertail Lions Club pancake breakfast. The vendor and craft fair will get underway at 9 a.m. and go until 4 p.m. in the Ottertail Community Center.

Area residents will be able to stroll through the Ottertail streets in style beginning at 1 p.m. for hay rides, while turkey bowling will also get underway until 3 p.m.

The faces of children will come alive as they read off their Christmas wish list to Santa Claus from 2-4 p.m. Santa will be visiting with children in the community center as he will also be collecting letters to Santa throughout the event. Kid’s crafts, cookie decorating and holiday bucket raffles will also be held from 2-4 p.m.

The annual lighting of the community Christmas tree will get underway at 5 p.m. and will be followed by a large fireworks display.

OtterDazzle will come to a close with a free-will offering chili bar following the conclusion of the fireworks.

In addition to a time to celebrate Christmas, the Ottertail Chamber of Commerce will be collecting non-perishable food items for the local food bank throughout OtterDazzle.
