Henning School will be transformed into a heavenly place in Greece this weekend.

Mamma Mia will be coming to Henning School as part of the annual high school musical. Set it Greece, Mamma Mia is the story of Donna and her daughter Sophie who are getting ready for Sophie’s wedding. Sophie wants her dad to walk her down the aisle, but she hasn’t met him yet and Donna doesn’t know he’s been invited.

The musical is full of songs by ABBA, which leaves those in attendance humming along to some classic tunes through the years.

Mamma Mia was released in theaters in 2008. The show is a romantic comedy full of classic songs and a heart warming story about family.

Donna will be played by Ava Eckhoff, while Sophie will be played by Gabi Umland. Other lead roles will be played by Aaliyah Olson, Lily Fraki, Matthew Johnson, Brett Carlson, Joseph Froslee and Cade Strege.

Mamma Mia will open on Friday night at 7 p.m. at the school. A second performance will be held on Saturday night at 7 p.m. and a matinee performance will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are just $5 apiece and can be purchased at the door.
