Volunteers gave thanks and provided a special bear to honor the sacrifices made by veterans and their families on Wednesday. The meal and event was held at the Country Corner Cafe in Henning.

Veterans from across the area stopped by the Country Corner Cafe on Wednesday for an appreciation dinner in Henning. 

In addition to a meal, veterans who attended the meal received a special bear that was created by a group of volunteers to show their appreciation for the sacrifices made by veterans and their families. 

The meal was sponsored by the cafe, as well as Thrivent. The bears were created by Jean Balfanz, Elaine Kenyon and a number of other volunteers.
