Henning School was always a bit of a second home for Brendan Hart. His dad and aunt are both teachers at the school, while his mom is a teacher in Perham. He also grew up just a stones throw away from Henning School.

Now after working as a general contractor and project manager for 10 job sites in the Fargo/Moorhead area for TF Powers, Hart has come back to Henning to take over the position of building, grounds and transportation director.

The son of Scott and Deb Hart, as well as a 2011 graduate of Henning High School, Hart learned about the job opening from his dad who told him that previous building, grounds and transportation director Robert Brohstrom was leaving his position earlier this year.

While Hart is originally from Henning, his wife is a native of Bertha. With a 3-year-old son and twin 18-month daughters, the opportunity to be closer to family in the area was too much of an opportunity to pass up.

“The biggest reason was family. Everything was back here,” he said.

Hart began his job on October 3 and has enjoyed getting to know all of the staff members at the school. He has also enjoyed the opportunity to get to spend more time with his family as he no longer has to commute from Barnesville to the Fargo/Moorhead area every day for work.
