Event to include lunch in Wadena, tour of private Taggart museum

Leif Erikson, Sons of Norway will be hosting a meeting and tour of a private museum in Wadena on Tuesday, Oct. 11. The day will be a double-header event with lunch in Wadena at OMA’s Restaurant and Bakery, followed by a visit to the private museum of Carol and Rich Taggart.

The museum is located west of Wadena at 34066 620th Ave. While at the museum there will be surprise dessert before ending the tour.

Leif Erikson, Sons of Norway, is a Nordic organization with a focus on the arts and cultures of the countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The group meets monthly with a program about the music, food, culture, dance, art, genealogy, literature, wood working, rosemalling, history or other interests about the Nordic countries.  Monthly programs are free and open to the public; some meetings may have dinners needing reservations and fees, but open to anyone interested in that event.

The October event will focus on sharing Nordic togetherness and interests at this unique double event in Wadena.  However, during the rest of the year, most events will be held in Vining at the Vining Community Center.
