Espelands, Speers win Building a Legacy golf tournament

The annual Building a Legacy Education Foundation golf tournament was held on Sunday, Sept. 11 at Oakwood Golf Course. A total of 48 golfers turned out for the pre-tournament meal, 18 holes of golf and a nice fall day. The winning team was from First National Bank in Henning, Ottertail and Battle Lake and included Jim and Julie Espeland, as well as Jason and Kaari Speer. Other contest winners include: longest drive on hole 6: Kaari Speer and Carter Dilly, Longest putt on hole 9: Andy Eckhoff, closest to the pin on hole 5: Steve Misegades. Proceeds raised during the golf tournament benefit sports Bboosters and a variety of needs for Henning Public School students.
