Peter Newark placed 12th overall and posted a new personal best time at the Ada-Borup/West booster invitational on Thursday. Newark finished with a time of 17:12 to pace the Otter Tail Central runners at the 22 team meet.

As a team, the Bulldogs finished in sixth place overall in the boys meet.

Joseph Froslee finished in 23rd place individually with a time of 18:03.9, while Jonas Hagemeister took 39th place with a time of 18:40.3, Talyn Setterholm finished in 41st place with a time of 18:46.3, Aidan Heggem finished in 67th place with a time of 19:49.1, August Wicklund finished in 75th place with a time of 20:34.3 and Quinn Condiff finished in 92nd place with a time of 21:32.4.

On the girls side, Nora Froslee led the OTC charge as she finished in sixth place individually with a season best time of 20:53 to pace the Bulldogs.

Erika Heibel finished in 24th place with a time of 22:18.1, Laney Frost finished in 36th place with a time of 23:01.9, Emily Christensen finished in 49th place with a time of 24:02.2 and Mae Hagemeister rounded out the varsity runners as she finished in 80th place with a time of 28:25.1.

Head coach Brady Spleicher said the OTC runners enjoyed the Ada-Borup/West course.

“Our athletes were excited to come back to this Ada course where we had success last year. We had 28 athletes either run a personal or season best. These times aren’t dropping by accident, I have been so impressed with the work ethic at practice and the drive of this team to become the best runners they can be,” said Spleicher. “Next week we are heading to Grand Forks and I’m hoping this momentum will continue and the Bulldogs will keep dropping time.”
