Henning to compete at Class A Showcase in Burnesville

The Henning Hornets improved to 8-0 on the season with their 3-0 win over the Bertha-Hewitt Bears last week.  Scores of the games were 25-16, 25-10 and 25-13.

As a team the Hornets served 96 percent and had 11 ace serves, hitting efficiency was .169 with 41 kills, had 9 blocks and serve received to target 95 percent.

With Henning’s great passing, the Hornets were able to spread the ball around offensively. Lyvia Misegades had 10 kills, Ally Hart had 9, while Becca Frederick and Lilya Fraki each had 8. Gretchen Eckhoff dished out 19 assists and Misegades had 10. 

Faith Fisher and Eckhoff both had 4 ace serves and Misegades had 3. Myiesh Antoni led the team with Olson 4 blocks and Hart led the team in digs with 21. 

Aaliyah Olson did a nice job serving and playing defense and Natalie Eckhoff did a nice job in the front row in the third set.

The Hornets have a busy week ahead of them. On Tuesday, they travel to Brandon-Evansville for a non-conference game. On Thursday they host Menahga in Park Region Conference action, before heading to Burnesville on Friday and Saturday for the Class A Showcase Tournament.
