The final summer reading series event at the Landmark Center was held on Wednesday and featured a western theme. 

Space is still available for the Ellen Jean Diederich two day watercolor workshop at the Landmark Center scheduled for Aug. 10-11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please call 548-5760 to register and get supply list. 

Mari Fredericks will host a stamp card making class on Saturday, Aug. 20, please call for details. 

Mark your calendars for our Annual Corn and Brat Feed on Friday, Aug. 26 from 5-7 p.m., featuring fresh sweet corn, grilled brats, live Americana music by Keith and Aaron Johnson, silent auction items and root beer floats. 

Coming in September, Mimi Seykora will host a five day pottery workshop on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 13, 15, 20, 22 and 27. All clay, glazes, kiln firing, and instruction is included. Please call to RSVP. 

The Landmark Center and the Sons of Norway present artist Carol Braaten for a one day Rosemaling workshop at the Landmark Center on Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will also work with Sons of Norway to present a one day wood chip carving workshop by Sid Visness on Oct. 24 and a two hour Marquetry Wood Inlay workshop by artist David Jacobson, Oct. 11 from 7-9 p.m. Please call to register.

The Viking Library Bookmobile visits Henning every other Tuesday, with next visits scheduled for Aug. 2, 16, and 30, from 3:30-4:45 p.m. in front of the Landmark Station Building.

The Landmark Center is available for public or private meetings, receptions, reunions, or overnight retreats. We have five bedrooms on our second floor with space for 10 overnight guests, perfect for a family gathering or multi day workshop.
