The Otter Tail Central 15U baseball team had everything working last Monday, winning big over PRBA Red 12-2. 

OTC fired up the offense in the first inning. Garrett Kuhn-Rice grounded out, scoring one run.

OTC notched five runs in the second inning. Quenton Beske, Collin Lukken, Kaleb Hammes, and Kuhn-Rice each had RBIs in the big inning.

Kuhn-Rice earned the win for OTC as he allowed three hits and two runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one.

Drew Evavold led OTC 15U with two hits in three at bats. 

The win improved OTC to 14-13 overall and 8-2 in league play.  

Thursday

OTC snatched the lead late in the game in a 3-2 victory over Fergus Falls 15s on Thursday. The game was tied at 2-2 with OTC batting in the bottom of the sixth inning when Gavin Pausch’s sacrifice fly scored one run for OTC.

The pitching was strong on both sides. OTC pitchers struck out eight, while Fergus Falls 15s pitchers sat down four.

Fergus Falls 15s opened up scoring in the first inning. Brock Scheuerman singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Kale Misegades earned the win for OTC 15U as he went two innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out two and walking zero.

Eric Fick started the game for OTC and went five innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out six Logan Larson started the game for Fergus Falls 15s. Larson lasted three innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking one.

OTC totaled eight hits with Owen Harig and Misegades each managed multiple hits in the win. Misegades and Harig all had two hits to lead the way.

OTC hosted Parkers Prairie on Monday, July 18 at Tony Kawlewski Field in Henning to wrap up the regular season, with a chance to earn the top seed and a bye in the district tournament held in Evansville July 21-23.
