Money stolen at a Lake Lida boat landing

A resident of Lake Ethel Road, north of Clitherall, reported the theft of a water trampoline on June 27.

The trampoline had earlier been shifted by strong winds and blown into a swamp near Highway 5. When the owner and his son came to retrieve the trampoline, it was gone.

The trampoline, blue and yellow in color, was valued at $2,200. There were no immediate suspects.

Underwood man arrested

Sheriff deputies, on June 29, arrested David Englin-Hill, 36, on felony warrants for second-degree assault and misdemeanor warrants for domestic assault and violation of a domestic abuse no contact order.

Englin-Hill was held at the Otter Tail County Detention Facility in Fergus Falls. An investigation was ongoing as of June 30.

About $100 was taken at a Lake Lida boat landing east of Pelican Rapids and was reported to sheriff deputies on June 28.

“A cash box was forcibly opened, damaged and the contents were stolen,” said a deputy.

There were no immediate suspects.
