THe Otter Tail Central 13u Babe Ruth team took the lead late and defeated Pine River-Backus by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The game was tied at 3-3 with OTC batting in the top of the seventh when Schmieg doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

PRBA scored three runs in the third inning, but OTC still managed to pull out the victory. The offensive onslaught by PRBA was led by Carter, Gage, and Mason, all driving in runs in the inning.

Baker earned the victory on the hill for OTC as he went four innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out eight and walking one.

Schmieg started the game for OTC and went three innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out four Landon started the game for PRBA. The hurler lasted six innings, allowing zero hits and one run while striking out 131

Schmieg, Saurer, Hoyt, and Bond each collected one hit to lead OTC.

In the second game of the day, a walk-off left OTC on the wrong end of an 8-7 defeat to PRBA on Wednesday. The game was tied at 7-7 with PRBA batting in the bottom of the fourth when Cody singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

OTC collected four hits and PRBA had seven in the high-scoring affair.

OTC got on the board in the first inning when Baker singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Saurer took the loss for OTC as he surrendered two runs on three hits over one-third of an inning, walking one.

Bushman started the game for OTC and gave up one run on two hits over two innings, striking out four.

Baker led OTC with two hits in two at bats. OTC tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Baker led the way with three.
