Pickleball has come to Henning.

Pickleball is a fun sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.  Pickleball is played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes and can be played as doubles or singles.

A Pickleball court has been set up at the Henning tennis courts (play using the yellow lines).  Pickleball nets are available to use with a paid Henning Fitness Center membership. Nets can be checked out from the Fitness Center between the hours of 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nets must be returned to the Fitness Center after each use.

Pickleball rackets can be signed out for the summer through the Henning Public School District Office with a deposit of $25/racket.  The deposit will be refunded on return of the racket (in good condition).

A Pickleball league will start in July based on interest.  Eight teams are needed to form a league. Sign up for the league by June 30 if interested.

Contact the Henning School District Office at 583-2927, option 1 for more information or if you are interested in signing up for a league.
