St. Edward’s Church got a bit of a makeover recently thanks to the efforts of Nora Froslee and a number of community members.

Froslee, who attends the Henning church, is also a member of the American Heritage Girls group.

Earlier this year, Doreen Oseien approached Froslee at B&D Foods about the idea of giving the outside of the church a bit of a makeover. Since Froslee was in need of a community service project, she began developing a plan to replace everything from the landscaping fabric, pea gravel and stepping stones to connect the two sidewalks.

“This would be a good (project) to do and help my church out,” said the daughter of Mick and Elizabeth Froslee.

In the back of the church near the kitchen doors, the group also added two flower arrangements as part of her project.

The group began the manual part of Froslee’s project Memorial Day week and got the flowers planted by the end of the week.

In addition to members of her family, Froslee received assistance from a number of members of St. Edward’s Catholic Church and the greater Henning community.
