This Friday will be the first of four Rock-Roll and Stroll Car Show events scheduled for the third Friday of each month, beginning June 17 from 4-8 p.m. The Landmark Center will open the Station building with popcorn, refreshments, and music. Come downtown on Friday and check out the classic cars. 

Landmark Station will also be a location in the Citywide garage Sale for Saturday June 18, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Station Building. Donations are being accepted if you have anything to add to the sale. Please call 548-5760.

The Jolly Pops will perform at the Landmark Patio area on Wednesday, June 29 from 7-8 p.m. The Jolly Pops combine upbeat, original music with a host of children’s standards for a family concert to please kids and adults alike. The Happy Dads and their puppet friends sing about alligator dancing, popsicles, trains, pet dinosaurs and everything in between. 

This free performance is sponsored by the Viking Library System. All are welcomed.

The Beverage and a Book readers group will meet on July 5 from 2-4 p.m. to discuss “Orphans Tale.” Copies of this book are available at the Landmark Center for those wishing to join the discussion.

Director of the Otter Tail County Historical Society, Chris Schuelke, will host a Historic Henning Walking Tour on Thursday, July 7, beginning at 7 p.m. in front of the Landmark Center. Registration fee will go towards OTC Historical programming.

Our Summer Reading Series begins the following Wednesday, July 6 from 7-8 p.m., with readings from a local author and activities for youth. Local Author Stephanie Jorgenson will read from two of her books on July 6 and July 27. Guest readers for July 13 and 20 will include Lisa Dreyer and Melissa Sparks.

The Art of the Lakes Studio Tour 2022 offers over 20 studio locations available from July 15-17. The Landmark Center will be one of the locations on the tour with five artists on site to offer their artwork. This year, artists include Becky Albright GYOTAKU fish rubbings, Marit Salveson ceramics and leather journals, Mary Smith Basket Weaving, Paul Sparks hand-carved wood fish decoys and Elyse Olson tapestries.
