OTC seeded ninth in sub section tournament

The Otter Tail Central softball team will open the Section 8AA tournament on Tuesday in Frazee.
The Bulldogs, who finished the regular season with a record of 3-13 overall, received the ninth seed in the sub section and will take on eighth seeded Pelican Rapids in the opening round. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
The winner of the game will immediately take on top seeded Frazee in the sub section quarterfinals.
The Bulldogs finished the season with a QRF ranking of 106 and were 2-12 in the Park Region Conference.
Last week OTC fell to Pelican Rapids by a score of 9-6, before splitting a doubleheader with Sebeka by scores of 14-2 and 9-8.
The sub section tournament will continue on Thursday with the semi-finals and finals in Frazee. The first game will take place at 4 p.m. with the sub section finals set for 5:30 p.m.
Other opening round match ups include: second seeded Hawley against seventh seeded Perham, third seeded Barnesville against sixth seeded Wadena-Deer Creek and fourth seeded Breckenridge against fifth seeded Fergus Falls.
