Emma Severson competed at the National BPA contest in Dallas, Texas from May 4-7.

Emma Severson represented the Henning High School and community at the 2022 National Business Professionals of America (BPA) contests in Dallas, Texas. The contest was held from May 4-7.

BPA Advisor Mike Hepola said Severson was an outstanding representitive of the area as she competed hard and was very appreciative of the opportunity. She competed in the Network Administration Using Cisco contest and ended up finishing 19th out of 30 individuals in the challenging contest.

When not competing or participating in the BPA sessions and awards ceremony, Severson and Hepola were able to enjoy some sight-seeing with members of the Sebeka BPA program and their advisor as well.  Some of the sights that Severson was able to see included the Dallas Aquarium, the JFK Assassination site downtown, Fort Worth Stockyards and Cattle Drive, AT&T Stadium where the Dallas Cowboys play and she was able to satisfy her hunger with some authentic Texas BBQ, as well as some Mexican food.

Hepola and Severson would like to thank the school, the Ottertail Lions, 1st National Bank, the Henning Lions and Henning Hope for help in funding to allow Severson to compete at the National Contests.

Hepola said he is proud of Severson and the outstanding young lady she’s become and the wonderful representative she was for the school and community while on this trip to Dallas.
