Otter Tail County now owns a building formerly occupied by the Daily Journal on the east side of Fergus Falls.

Otter Tail County has purchased the former Daily Journal building at 914 East Channing in Fergus Falls.

The building will temporarily house the Land and Resource Department. Minor improvements and modifications have been made to allow for temporary service at the new location.

The Land and Resource Management Department will move in phases to the new location. Services began at the new Channing location on March 21.

“Our team is committed to carrying out the same quality service in the new location,” said Chris LeClair, Land and Resource Management Director. “If anyone has a question we invite them to call, visit the website and/or stop by the new location.”

The county will use the facility as a temporary space through 2022 and possibly into 2023. In the meantime, staff will work with the County Board of Commissioners on a long-range plan for the facility.
