Several thefts reported across OTC

Sheriff deputies, on March 13, reported two injuries during a single-vehicle accident near the intersection of Highways 10 and 75 in eastern Otter Tail County. The accident took place at 10:38 a.m.

This accident took place just east of Bluffton.

The vehicle was southbound on Highway 75 when the driver lost control, entered the west ditch and struck snow that was piled up on the side of the road. This caused the vehicle to roll.

Sheriff deputies said the driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital in Wadena with non-life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle was towed from the scene of the accident. A dog in the vehicle was picked up by family members.

Thefts reported

Sheriff deputies, on March 13, reported the theft of a TND 550 truck GPS valued at close to $300. The theft took place at approximately 1:18 a.m. at a convenience store south of Fergus Falls.

Deputies later looked for a male suspect and also a suspect vehicle in connection to the theft from Big Chief Truck/Auto Plaza.

A theft in Vergas was reported by sheriff deputies on March 14, at an undisclosed location.

Taken by a shoplifter was close to $100 in stolen items. The incident was reported at 4:41 p.m.
