A Perham man, 23-year-old Caleb Joshua Mycke, received a Stay of Adjudication related to a third-degree burglary felony conviction.

An amended court decision was issued Feb. 24 in county court, Fergus Falls.

Under a Stay of Adjudication, while the probation is going on, this is a pending case, the same as being charged and awaiting trial.

For Mycke, once probation is over, the case will be dismissed. This is dependent on Mycke remaining law abiding during his five-year probationary period. He will spend a portion of that time with community work service.

The judge ordered Mycke to cooperate with his probation agent during the random search of his residence, vehicle, workplace and property.

The defendant is responsible for court fees that total $175.

Vergas man sentenced

A Vergas man, 37-year-old Jacob Alan Hariluk, was sentenced Feb. 28 in county court, Fergus Falls, following a felony conviction of fifth-degree drug possession.

He can avoid a one-year stay in the correctional facility in St. Cloud if he remains law abiding for five years.

Hariluk was ordered to serve 30 days in the county jail in Fergus Falls.

The judge also ordered Hariluk to complete a chemical assessment and follow recommendations of the evaluation. He cannot possess alcohol or drugs, with the exception of prescribed medications.

He was ordered to cooperate with his probation agent during the random search of his residence, vehicle, workplace and property.

Stay of Imposition for Frazee man

A Frazee man, 23-year-old Carter Keith Goins, will have a felony conviction of third-degree burglary reduced to a lesser crime if he remains law abiding for a designated number of years.

Under a Stay of Imposition, which the judge issued in county court, Fergus Falls, on Feb. 7, Goins will have his felony conviction reduced to a misdemeanor if he stays law abiding during a five-year probationary period.

Goins previously served 17 days in the county jail, Fergus Falls.

He was ordered to cooperate with his probation agent during the random search of his residence, vehicle, workplace and property.

Goins cannot possess firearms, ammunition or explosives. He cannot possess alcohol or drugs, with the exception of prescribed medications.
