Christensen promoted as Loan Officer

James A. Espeland, CEO and Chairman of the Board of First National Bank of Henning has recently announced the promotion of Randy Dorn as President of First National Bank of Henning, Ottertail & Battle Lake. 

Dorn has served as Chief Managing Officer since 2019 and Manager of the Battle Lake branch since 2015. He has played a key role in the growth of First National Bank over his career.  He initially joined First National Bank in 2007 after leading Woodland Bank of Grand Rapids, Minnesota’s Hill City branch. Dorn began his financial services career with Wells Fargo in 2004. 

A graduate of Minnesota State University-Moorhead, Dorn was raised on the family farm near Parkers Prairie. 

Dorn has served the community of Battle Lake as chair of the Battle Lake Economic Development Authority. Dorn also is a district board member of the Independent Community Bankers of Minnesota. 

“These new responsibilities harness the unique capabilities of Mr. Dorn for the benefit of his First National Bank colleagues, customers and the communities of Henning, Ottertail and Battle Lake,” said Espeland. “As a leading Community Banker, the continuity of leadership that Mr. Dorn displays will strengthen the position of our financial institution as we continue to grow along with our communities and county.”

As CEO and Chairman, James Espeland will continue to lead the company by shifting his focus toward long-term strategy, business expansion, relationships and board governance.

Christensen promoted to Loan Officer

First National Bank Henning, Ottertail and Battle Lake has promoted Stacy Christensen to Loan Officer. 

Christensen joined FNB in 2016 on a part time summer basis and evolved into full time in 2020. Christensen was most recently a Universal Banker at the Battle Lake location. She graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2020 with a finance degree. 

“Stacy has a great ability to connect with anyone all while assisting them with the right financial solutions,” said President Randy Dorn. “Stacy has been a great team asset to FNB in many ways; I congratulate her on this well-deserved new role and thank her for her many contributions to FNB.”

Christensen has spent a significant amount of time over the last 18 months in our real-estate lending department. She has become very knowledgeable in the area of home purchases. Those who are looking to buy a home or have any borrowing needs are encouraged to contact Christensen.
