Piles of snow aren’t just an issue for people trying to shovel their driveway or parking lot. Snow also creates challenges for members of the United States Postal Service.

The Henning Post Office is reminding customers to clear the snow away from mailbox and curbside boxes to assist with the delivery process.

Residents should keep the full approach and exits to a mailbox clear, which includes driving up and leaving the mailbox, not a small spot around the mailbox. Removing trash cans, snow, vehicles and any other objects from the area, allows the carrier to deliver mail in a safe and efficient manner, without needing to exit their vehicle.
