Sheriff deputies reported damage to a shop following a Jan. 12 fire near County Highway 1, northwest of Underwood.

The fire is believed to have started in a wood stove near the chimney. Siding and smoke damage is estimated at a minimum of $15,000.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 10:16 a.m.

Traffic stops involve

several violations

Traffic stops by county sheriff deputies, on, Jan. 12, reveal several driver violations. Warnings were issued.

They included driving with only one headlight in operation, a license plate covered in snow, expired license tabs, excess speed, weaving over the center line of the roadway, not using a turn signal, taillight not working, and driving with no front license plate.
