Sheriff deputies, on Dec. 28, said a county resident reported a substantial amount of money in charges on a Xbox account linked to her credit card.
Xbox is a gaming console capable of connecting to a TV or other display media.
Microsoft employees say that people using Xbox can remove passwords from other Xbox consoles remotely so that others cannot access your account without your permission.
Fish house stolen
The theft of a homemade fish house was reported by the owner who had the fish house positioned at Otter Tail Lake. The incident was reported on Dec. 28.
“The owner last saw the fish house on Christmas Day,” said a sheriff deputy. “The fish house was off the Riviera Access, approximately two miles.”
The access is three miles from the town of Ottertail, on the northeast side of the lake. There were no suspects as of Dec. 29.
