Henning School third and fourth grade students were able to take time in their day to make fleece hats with members of the 4-H last week.

Donna Geiser from the East Otter Tail County 4-H led the event and taught the kids a lot about how important it is to recycle and keep the planet clean. The fleece came from recycled products from many different local area recycling centers. The students had to figure out math problems to see how a little bit of recycled products from everyone goes a long way.

The students were very grateful for the opportunity to make the hats and were able to see the impact that recycling makes. Henning School teachers and students also wanted to say a special thanks to a couple legends Gail Guse and MaryAnn Wilke for helping with the project.
