One person injured in accident northwest of Henning on Nov. 23

Just the presence of Mojo, the county sheriff K9 dog, was enough for a driver to hand over illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia Nov. 25 at an undisclosed location in Otter Tail County.
“While speaking with the driver, and telling him that dog would be used, the driver admitted to drug possession,” said a sheriff deputy.
A citation was issued.
Mojo, under the direction of County Sheriff K9 Officer Zach Eifert, assists sheriff units when they pursue fugitives, search for missing people and when deputies engage in narcotics and evidence detection.
This 8-year-old Dutch Shepherd dog has answered the call, time and again, to assist the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s office and in neighboring counties.
A generator owned by a roofing company was reported stolen southwest of Vergas. Authorities were notified on Nov. 26.
The owner of the house, on 430th Street, earlier reported issues with trespassing when he was away from the dwelling. He noticed things were out of place but finally reported something that was missing,
One person injured in ATV accident
County sheriff deputies reported one injury in a ATV accident that took place near Elizabeth, close to 2:20 a.m. on Nov. 22.
Injured while driving the ATV near Norgren Road was 27-year-old Darren Lemke of Elizabeth.
Lemke sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital in Fergus Falls. No other people were involved in the crash. The ATV sustained moderated damage.

in roadway accident
One person was injured in a roadway accident at 5:24 p.m. Nov. 21 at the intersection of Highway 114 and 125th Avenue, southwest of Fergus Falls.
An individual was near a vehicle that had run out of gas, and the person was attempting to pour gas into the tank with use of a gas can.
An oncoming vehicle struck the parked vehicle, throwing the person with the gas can to the ground. That person was taken to the hospital in Fergus Falls with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene of the accident.

One person was injured in a rollover at 2:40 p.m. on Nov. 21 at the intersection of Highway 55 and 275th Street, northwest of Henning
Sheriff deputies said the driver, northbound, failed to negotiate a curve, overcorrected and rolled into the southbound ditch. The person was taken to the hospital in Wadena.
out of $1,000
A husband and wife who live near Highway 35 in central Otter Tail County were scammed out of $1,000 in a situation reported on Nov. 19.
The couple bought several Google Play cards and gave numbers to scammers who said they were connected to Amazon. Once the numbers were given out, the victims were out the money.
Be aware of someone asking you to pay for something by putting money on a gift card such as Google Play or iTunes cards. If they ask you to give them the numbers on the back of the cards, they are trying to scam you.
