Several local veterans received a special gift during the annual Henning Veterans Day program. Quilts of Valor are given to veterans and servicemen as a way to thank them for their service. The handmade quilts provide warmth to veterans. Following the program, many of the veterans had their quilts signed and gathered to look at all of the handmade quilts.
